Some examples of costumes, design elements, textiles, and puppet accessories I worked on for Wendell and Wild at Netflix Animation while working as a puppet costumer and on the puppet maintenance and puppet stage support teams.

Descriptions of my contributions - listed in order of images:

  1. I fabricated all of Kat’s skirts in the film, I did not create the sewing pattern used to make them. I dyed the fabric, created the diagonal miniature plaid digital file (that lines up when pleated), screen printed all of the miniature plaid, hand sewed/assembled the skirts, added the animatable understructure and dressed about half of them onto the final puppets, plus skirt maintenance.

  2. Closeup of Kat’s skirt. Someone else made the safety pins and belts, I glued them in place.

  3. Similar to Kat’s skirts, I designed the print file, screen printed, dyed the fabric, hand sewed/assembled and added the animatable understructure for all of Sweetie, Sloane and Siobhan’s skirts in the film. I did not create the sewing pattern used to make them.

  4. Same process as previous skirts mentioned but made for all of the background school girl puppets, these did not have animatable understructures.

  5. Printed and fabricated Undead Father Bests’ sash around his waist.

  6. Designed files, hand cut styrene, made vinyl cuts, painted and glued in place the design elements of the top 2 hats. I did not make the hats.

  7. Designed files, hand cut styrene, made vinyl cuts, painted, fabricated sash, ribbons, medals, and costume details for (from left) puppet #2, #4, #6 and glued in place the design elements. I did not design, make or dress any of the hats/costumes onto the puppets.

  8. Printed fabric for the twins’ suits and fabricated their flower pins. I did not make these costumes, patterns or dress the puppets.

  9. Screen printed the “Link Wray” shirt and dyed fabric for the brewery workers. I did not make these costumes, patterns or dress the puppets.
